BANANA TEA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
2 or 3 lg. real ripe bananas, mashed

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add the sifted dry ingredients alternately with mashed bananas. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes; then cool on rack and wrap in foil. Let stand overnight before slicing. Do not overbake.
