EASTER EGG NESTS 
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. corn syrup
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Food coloring
3 tbsp. sugar
2 c. corn flakes
Miniature jelly beans or other candy

Place coconut in a container, add a few drops food coloring. Cover container, shake until coconut is evenly colored. Set aside. Measure corn syrup, sugar and butter into medium size saucepan. Over medium heat, bring syrup mixture to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and add corn flakes, nuts and colored coconut. Stir until evenly coated. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoons onto waxed paper or lightly greased baking sheets. With buttered fingers shape portions to resembled nests. Let stand in cool place until firm.

Fill nests with miniature jelly beans or chocolate eggs or gum drops. Yields about 24 Easter Egg Nests. If more than one color, prepare recipe into red, green or what color you desire. (Make coconut colored as desired). For coconut chews omit food coloring. Drop cereal mixture by rounded tablespoons onto wax paper or lightly greased baking sheet. Let stand in cool place.
