EDMONIA'S LAZY ROLLS 
4 c. sifted plain flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. solid shortening
1 pkg. yeast dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
1 c. warm water

Sift flour. Add next 6 items. Mix well. Use dough hook if you have it, if not mix with mixer. Cover and let dough rise, double in size. Pour flour on your pastry sheet and knead for about 15 times.

Roll the dough out 1/4 inch thick. Grease pan slightly. Put 4 rolls in pan, brush with melted butter, fold in half and prick with a fork. Let them rise in a warm place, let rise until they are double in size. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Take them out and brush with melted butter.
