CHOCOLATE FROSTED COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sq. melted chocolate
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream

FROSTING:

1 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 sq. chocolate

Cream together shortening, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and chocolate. Sift together flour, soda, and salt; combine creamed mixture with flour. Add 1/2 cup sour cream.

Drop in spoonfuls on slightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12- 14 minutes. Make frosting after all the cookies are made; it hardens fast.

Combine confectioners sugar and chocolate; moisten with milk if needed. Add chopped nuts on top if you like.
