MIDNIGHT SOUP 
3 med. sized onion
2 lbs. ground beef, sirloin
2 (28 oz. each) cans peeled tomatoes
2 (12 oz. each) cans sweet corn
Salt and pepper to taste
2 to 3 (4 1/2 oz.) containers of whole mushrooms
1 c. sweet or sour cream
Few drops of Tabasco Sauce and ketchup

Heat 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Saute onions until they are transparent. Stir in ground beef and keep on stirring until meat has browned. Lower heat, then add tomatoes, sweet corn, and mushrooms. While stirring, break whole tomatoes into smaller pieces. Let heat through for another 5-10 minutes. Finally, add sweet cream, a few drops of Tabasco Sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper to taste. Serve with garlic bread. Serves 4-6.
