SAUERKRAUT SOUP 
1 lb. sauerkraut
1 lg. can solid packed tomatoes
1 chuck roast (sm.) or other
1 lg. onion
2 bay leaves
Sugar to taste (should be sweet & sour)
Water to cover

Place all ingredients into large kettle, cover with water and cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours. When cool, remove meat from bone and cut into bite size, discard bay leaves and bone. Serve with sour dough bread.
