JANELLE'S MOO GOO NGOW | |
3 tbsp. oil 1 clove garlic 1 1/2 lb. beef steak Salt & pepper 3 tbsp. chopped onion 1 1/2 c. beef broth 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 tbsp. soy sauce 3 tbsp. cornstarch 4 c. cooked rice Celery, green pepper (optional) Cook oil and garlic gently 2 minutes. Remove garlic. Add meat, salt, pepper and onion; cook over medium heat, stir constantly until brown. Add broth and mushrooms. Cover tightly and cook gently until meat is tender. Add soy sauce to cornstarch with enough water to make thin paste. Mix into broth; cook over low heat, stir constantly until thick. Serve at once over rice. I use venison and duck breast sliced thin or anything else my husband drags home instead of beef too. |
