OVEN CHEESE SOUFFLE | |
10 slies firm white bread 6 eggs, lg. 3 c. 2% milk 2 c. shredded cheese (sharp cheddar) 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 3 tbsp. diced green onions Paprika Salt & pepper Trim crust off bread. Butter lightly and cut into cubes. Place in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Beat eggs slightly. Add milk and season. Stir in cheese and onion. Place cheese and egg mixture over bread. Sprinkle lightly with paprika. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until knife inserted comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting. Serve at once. Serves 8. |
