1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (16 oz.) crushed pineapple, in own juice. Do not drain.
1 (16 oz.) Comstock Pie Cherries
1/4 lb. butter

Spread pineapple on bottom of large square or 9x13 inch baking dish.

Spread cherries over the pineapple.

Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over cherry layer.

Have butter very cold so it can be shaved over dry cake mix. (Put in plastic bag and set on ice cubes in icemaker. Then shave with a potato peeler.)

Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.

Variations...Use Comstock Strawberry or Apple pie mix.
