NUTTY BREAKFAST MUFFINS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten

TOPPING:

1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. For muffins combine flour, nuts, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in center of mixture. Combine milk, butter and egg; add all at once to dry ingredients. Mix only until moistened. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Combine topping ingredients until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle on top of muffins before baking. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
