SCANDINAVIAN MEAT BALLS 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 medium onion, minced
1/2 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. ginger

Mix all ingredients and form in small balls. Brown in butter. Add a little water and simmer slowly until done. Remove balls; add more butter to pan; add flour and brown a little. Add enough water to make a smooth gravy. Season well. Return meatballs to gravy and keep warm until serving. Can be made several hours before serving.
