SESAME GREEN BEANS | |
1.5 lb. green beans Water 2 tsp. sesame seeds 3 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. salad/olive oil 1. Trim end from beans; if they're very long cut in half 2. In 3 quart saucepan over high heat, in 1 inch boiling water, heat green beans to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans are just crisp. Drain, return beans to saucepan. 3. In small saucepan over medium heat, toast sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring and shaking pan frequently. Remove from heat. 4. To green beans, add soy sauce and oil. Over low heat, cook beans about 10 minutes longer. Sprinkle beans with seeds and serve warm. Yield 6 servings. |
