HONEY CEREAL COOKIES WITH CREAM
CHEESE FROSTING
 
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. honey
1/2 c. honey
2 c. Grape Nut Flakes
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. flaked coconut
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg

FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 lb. powdered sugar
Chopped pecans (optional)

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream butter in bowl. Blend in sugar, honey, egg and the flour mixture. Add cereals and coconut and mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.

Let stand a few seconds before removing from pan. Cookies will become crisp as they cool. Beat together softened cream cheese and butter. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Ice cookies and sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired. Makes 8 dozen.
