BUTTERNUT SQUASH 
Peel and cut the squash into pieces. Put into glass casserole and cover and bake at 350 degrees with salt and pepper for 1 hour or microwave for 10 to 15 minutes until tender. Melt 1/2 stick butter; add 1/2 cup brown sugar and stir into butter. Pour over squash and put back into oven for a minute, then serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
