CABBAGE ROLLS 
2 lbs. lean pork
1 lb. ground chuck
1 lg. onion, chopped
Bacon grease from 4 slices bacon
3/4 lb. rice, washed 3 to 4 times
Salt and pepper to taste
1 big or 2 sm. cabbages
1 qt. sauerkraut
1 qt. tomato juice
1 c. water

Mix first six ingredients together. Boil cabbage in salt water until leaves are soft. Place 1 tablespoon mix in each leaf of cabbage - roll up, tucking ends into middle. Place sauerkraut and remaining cabbage chopped up in bottom of large pan. Place cabbage rolls on top of sauerkraut. Cover with tomato juice and water. Cover, boil and let bubble slowly for 2 hours. Excellent with mashed potatoes.
