CHOLESTEROL - FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. dark brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 c. butter 3 lg. egg whites 2 tbsp. honey 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In medium bowl, combine flour, soda and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside. In large bowl, blend sugars with an electric mixer. Add butter, and mix to form a grainy paste. In small bowl, beat egg whites until smooth. Scrape sides of bowl. Add flour mixture and chocolate chips, and blend on low speed just until combined. Do not over mix. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until lightly browned. Immediately transfer cookies with a spatula to a cool, flat surface. Makes 3 1/2 dozen. |
