CRANBERRY CAKE WITH BUTTER SAUCE 
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 c. whole raw cranberries

Thoroughly cream together butter and sugar. Gradually beat in vanilla, flour, baking powder, and salt, alternating dry ingredients and milk. Fold in cranberries.

Pour into greased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Bake in 400 degree oven about 35 minutes or until done.

HOT BUTTER SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cream or half-and-half
