CRANBERRY CAKE 
2 c. whole cranberries, washed and frozen
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients except cranberries. Separate frozen cranberries and add to batter. Bake in 8 inch square pan at 350 degrees. Test for doneness. Serve with hot butter sauce.

HOT BUTTER SAUCE:

1/2 lb. good grade stick butter
1 c. evaporated milk
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Heat in sauce pan until sugar is melted completely. Sauce can be reheated as needed.
