BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 lg. bunch broccoli, cut up or 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
2 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion
1 1/2 lb. ham, turkey if desired, diced
3-4 diced potatoes with water they were boiled in
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 cans evaporated milk

Combine broccoli, butter, onion and ham in very large heavy kettle. Add a little more water than to cover; cook until tender. Add the potatoes with the water, cream of chicken soup and milk. Cook over medium heat for 1 hour, stirring often. Will stick easily in thin kettle is used. Makes about 2 gallons. Very good for groups.
