1 1/2 c. starter juice
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 lg. can sliced peaches plus juice (chopped)

Stir daily for 10 days.

1 lg. can pineapple plus juice (chopped)
2 1/2 c. sugar

Stir daily for 10 more days.

2 (10 oz.) cans maraschino cherries (chopped)

Discard cherry juice. Stir daily for 10 more days. On 30th day, drain brandied fruit well. Reserve juice. This is the starter.

Makes about 3 recipes.

CAKE RECIPE (for 1 cake):

1 yellow cake mix (without pudding)
2/3 c. salad oil
4 eggs
1 box vanilla instant pudding (powder)

1 1/2 c. brandied fruit
1 c. chopped pecans

Bake in Bundt pan (greased and floured) for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
