1 1/2 c. starter
1 big can peaches, cut up, don't drain
2 1/2 c. sugar

Be sure to use wooden spoon for stirring.

Mix together in a gallon plastic or glass jar. (Don't stir with metal.) Wait 10 days. Add 1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice and 2 1/2 cups sugar. Mix. Wait 10 days. Add 2 small jars maraschino cherries (don't drain) and 1 cup sugar. I cut the cherries in half. Wait 10 days. Strain out fruit. Give 1 1/2 cups of starter juice to 3 or 4 friends.

CAKE RECIPE:

1 box yellow or white cake mix (no pudding in mix)
1 (3 oz.) vanilla instant pudding mix
4 eggs
3/4 c. oil
1 1/2 c. drained fruit
Nuts (opt.)

Mix together cake mix, pudding mix, eggs and oil with a mixer. Add fruit and nuts, if desired. Bake in greased and floured angel food or bundt pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 3.
