 Pam (California) says:
Quick and easy but came out a bit salty. I would not add the salt next time and to make it tastier may be put some grated cheese.

 Amanda (Alabama) says:
This was very quick and easy and quite tasty! I did add a 1/4 cup of cheese and used garlic salt instead of just salt. I also had to increase the milk because 1/4 cup wasn't enough. Everyone loved them!

 Susan Wagner (California) replies:
Totally agree. Not enough milk. I also used less sodium.

 Mark (California) says:
I found that i had to increase the liquid. And this recipe makes very small biscuits. I double the quantities and still get about a dozen decent sized biscuits.

This is the same recipe I used and lost 25 years ago, and I'm thrilled to have an old friend back. This simple recipe is so adaptable. Leave out the salt and substitute a nut oil for the butter and you have one flavor. Or sprinkle with vanilla and use buttermilk for scrumptuous morning biscuits. I like these with a dollop of fig or strawberry jammmmmmmmm-mm! Experiment and be surprised.

I love this recipe had to add a little more milk and then I added Cheddar and Jack Cheese. The best way to serve them is a nice glass of milk and butter them..... Yum Yum

Simple enough recipe! I tossed in some crushed garlic and grated cheddar cheese, plus doubled the milk. It made 9 great biscuits, my husband ate 6 in one sitting!

When they say "SMALL" they really mean small!!! I'm use to farm biscuits... I had to double the recipe to get 6 farm biscuits. Definitely add more milk and cut the salt.

Awesome recipe! This is my new biscuit recipe for sure! Use only unsalted sweet cream butter, you get the saltiness from salted butter. Reading the reviews I was scared to add too much salt, so I added a little over 1/8 tsp, but I'm sure it could have handled the whole 1/4 tsp. I did have to add a touch more milk, no biggie. These were moist sweet and delicious! Also I did add a thin slice of butter on each biscuit before they went into the oven.

I use as a topping for shepherd's pie; flatten out the dough in discs and put on top. Awesome.
