HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
5 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
2 med. onions, chopped
2 med. carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/3 c. pearl barley
1/4 c. catsup
1 beef bouillon cube
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. basil

In large pot brown beef and onions. Drain off fat. Add all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer in covered pot for 1 hour.
