SPANISH RICE 
1 c. uncooked rice
1/4 c. oil (Mazola)
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. chopped peppers
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can water
Optional seasonings - just pinches of each: Pepper, salt, garlic, oregano or own taste in seasonings
1 lb. ground hamburger, cooked & drained (optional)

In large saucepan pour in oil and heat slightly at medium heat. Add rice, onions and peppers. Cook, stirring continuously until rice is golden brown color. Reduce heat. Add all other ingredients except hamburger. Stir frequently until all liquid has been absorbed by rice.

Add hamburger now if so desired. Stir until it is entirely mixed and warmed. Serve hot. As a side dish or with hamburger as a main dish.
