CHOCOLATE OAT CHIPSTERS 
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted (2 squares)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. Rice Krispies
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.)
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In large bowl beat brown sugar, sugar, and butter until light. Add chocolate, vanilla, and egg. Blend well. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and mix well. Stir in oats, celery, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-13 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheets. Makes 4 dozen.
