PUMPKIN NUT BARS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2/3 cooked, mashed pumpkin (canned is fine)
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Combine first five ingredients in a large mixing bowl; add next 3 ingredients. Beat on medium speed 1 minute or until smooth. Stir in pecans. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9 pan; bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into small bars.
