FISH CHOWDER 
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. fish (haddock, whiting or any white fish)
2 lg. onions, chopped
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
3 lg. potatoes, lg. cubed
2 c. half and half (milk)

In large pot heat bacon drippings. Add chopped onions and cubed potatoes, fish (cut into small pieces) and just enough water to cover. Bring to boil and cook until potatoes and fish are tender. Add half and half to desired consistency. Salt and pepper to taste. When serving, add a cube of butter to each bowl. Grill cheese sandwiches served with this makes an easy, delicious meal.
