DIANNE'S BEST EVER CHOCOLATE
CHIP COOKIES
 
2 sticks (1 c.) softened butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a bowl with an electric mixer cream the butter; add the sugars and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients and add gradually to the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Foil line the baking sheets and drop tablespoons of batter 1 1/2-inches apart onto the sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 325 degrees until brown at edges. Let cookies cool on the sheets for 1 minute before lifting them off. Makes 28 cookies.
