BROCCOLI-CHEESE PIE | |
6 c. water 1 tsp. salt 3 oz. uncooked macaroni rings 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp. snipped chives 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli 1/2 tsp. salt 4 eggs 1 egg white 1 c. creamed cottage cheese 1 tbsp. snipped chives 1 tbsp. paprika Heat oven to 375 degrees. Heat water and 1 teaspoon salt, bring to boil; stir in macaroni. Boil until tender, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain, rinse in cold water. Beat egg yolks, stir in macaroni and 1 tablespoon chives. Press mixture against bottom and sides of greased 9 inch pie plate with back of spoon. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool 10 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 425 degrees. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over (macaroni) crust. Prepare broccoli as directed on package, 1/2 teaspoon salt, drain. Arrange broccoli and cheese. Beat eggs, egg white with cottage cheese, chives, paprika. Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Reduce heat, cook 30 minutes. |
