ALMOND CRESCENT COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/4 c. 10X sugar
1 tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. finely grated or chopped almonds
Extra 10X sugar

Blend soft butter with sugar, water and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour and nuts. Pinch off 1 teaspoon of dough at a time. Roll between hands into crescent shape. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove quickly and carefully. Roll each crescent in 10X sugar while still hot. When cool, roll in 10X sugar again. Makes about 125 crescents. (Walnuts or pecans can be substituted for almonds.)

Christmas isn't the same around our house if Almond Crescents aren't in the cookie tins.
