CRESCENT COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
5 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and add sugar, vanilla and water. Sift flour and salt together and stir into the above mixture. Add pecans and mix thoroughly.

Using portions about the size of small walnuts roll into crescent shaped cookies. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in slow oven, 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. While warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. May roll a second time. Store in covered container.
