CRESCENT COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter, softened
1/2 c. confectioners sugar (powdered)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. finely chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, flour, and pecans; mix well. Cover and refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours. Shape generous tablespoons of dough into crescents. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheets about 20 minutes. As soon as crescents are removed from oven, roll in confectioners sugar.
