APPLE-CINNAMON CAKE 
4 or 5 fresh apples, peeled
1 c. water
1 c. sugar or less
cinnamon
dry yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
1 1/2 sticks butter

Slice apples. Spread in sprayed oblong dish. Add water and sugar. Sprinkle cinnamon over this. Add cake mix on top. Sprinkle again with cinnamon. Add pecans. Slice butter on top.

Bake as is at 350°F to 375°F about 35 minutes. Cool. Cover with frozen topping, thawed.
