QUICK & EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cold water
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten

Sift together flour, sugar and salt. In a saucepan boil butter, water and cocoa while still boiling, pour over flour mixture, mix well. Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, soda and vanilla. Again mix well. Bake in a cookie sheet with sides (well greased) or any large pan. It's best when spread thin. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. When nearly done, start the icing recipe.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. sour cream
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pinch salt
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Bring to boil butter, cocoa and milk. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, salt and nuts. Beat well, pour over cake while both are hot.
