BEST EVER MOLASSES COOKIES 
In large bowl cream:

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1-1/2 c. sugar

Beat in:

1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs, lightly beaten

In another bowl combine:

4 c. flour (no need to sift)
1/2 tsp. salt
2-1/4 tsp. baking soda
2-1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1-1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1-1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Gradually mix flour mixture into creamed ingredients. Roll dough in 1 1/2 inch balls by hand. Dip tops in sugar.
