CINNAMON CUCUMBERS RINGS 
2 gallon cucumbers
2 c. lime
2 qts. water
1 c. vinegar
1 sm. bottle red food color
2 tbsp. alum

SYRUP:

2 c. water
2 c. vinegar
10 c. sugar
8 sticks cinnamon
1 lg. (6 to 8 oz.) bag red hots
1 tsp. salt

Mix cucumbers, lime and water. Let stand 24 hours. Drain and wash real well, then soak 3 hours in cold water, then drain and mix 1 cup vinegar, red color, 2 tablespoons alum and enough water to cover cucumbers. Then simmer 2 hours. Drain and rinse.

Make syrup. Pour over cucumbers for 3 days, third day can. Heat syrup to boiling each day.
