MURPHY POTATOES DELMONICO 
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 c. hot milk
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese (more if you prefer)
4 c. cold cooked potatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick

Melt butter, add flour and mix until smooth. Add seasonings and hot milk a little at a time. Cook until smooth and thick. Simmer about 5 minutes. Blend cheese in sauce. Put potatoes in a greased baking dish, pour sauce over and gently mix with spatula. Sprinkle top with paprika. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Serves 6. Great with ham or chicken.
