STUFFED MUSHROOMS IMPERIAL | |
1/2 stick butter (1/4 c.) 4 tbsp. minced shallots 1/2 c. chopped walnuts, or pecans 8 giant mushroom caps, stems reserved and chopped 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1/4 tsp. thyme Salt and pepper to taste Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8 inch square baking dish. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and saute until limp. Add nuts and chopped mushroom stems and saute an additional 3 minutes. Mix in bread crumbs, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Fill mushroom caps with mixture, place in baking dish and bake 15 minutes. 4 servings. |
