STUFFED MUSHROOMS 
1 lb. (about 12-14) lg. fresh mushrooms
6 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. minced onion
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. toasted chopped walnuts
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Rinse mushrooms and pat dry; remove stems, chop and set aside. Brush outside of caps with some of the butter; place cups in a buttered shallow 9 inch baking dish.

Combine remaining butter, onion, and chopped stems in a saucepan; saute 5 minutes. Stir in bread crumbs, walnuts, salt, and pepper. Spoon stuffing into each mushroom cap. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Makes 4 servings.
