WHOLE WHEAT MUFFINS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
1 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Stir until just moistened. Put in greased or paper lined muffin tins. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Makes 12.
