FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Hodgson Mills whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (10-12 oz.) bag chocolate chunks

Other whole heat flour will work, but this brand gives the best results.

Cream together butter, shortening, and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. When thoroughly mixed, add flour and baking soda.

Gently roll mixture into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool briefly on cookie sheets, then remove to cooling racks. Store in airtight container and hide them from the Senior Pastor.
