HOMEMADE POTATO CHIPS 
6 lg. peeled potatoes
4 c. oil in deep saucepan (if you don't have a deep fryer - deep fryer is preferred)
Salt

To be successful, you need a slicer. Place potatoes in slicer, one at a time and slice as thin as you can! Have oil good and hot and drop a couple of handfuls of potatoes in hot oil - being careful not to let grease splatter on you. Potatoes cook very quickly and will rise to the top of the oil as they are browned. Take out with slotted spatula and drain on paper towel.

Sprinkle with salt and eat while still hot! This is a fun snack for after church on Sunday nights and get the family involved. One problem, they hardly hit the paper towel until they are gone and everyone is ready for more.
