OLD FASHIONED EGG CUSTARD PIE | |
1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell 4 eggs 2 1/4 c. milk 2/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Nutmeg Preheat oven 400 degrees. Bake prepared pastry shell for 5 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add milk, sugar, vanilla and salt; blend well. Pour filling into pastry shell; sprinkle with nutmeg, bake for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 325 degrees. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean, cool on wire rack. |
