SWEET AND SOUR HAM 
About 8 lbs. ham, cut up in pieces
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. water
Gravy thickener (flour or cornstarch mixed with a little water)
4 lg. bay leaves
1/4 c. vinegar or more to taste
1 med. onion, cut up
1 c. milk

Brown pieces of ham on medium heat in large fry pan. Add cut up onion and bay leaves and cook for 15 minutes. Add brown sugar, vinegar and water. Cook for 15 minutes or so. Add milk and cook a few minutes. Add gravy thickening and mix well. Ready to serve.
