CLOUDS AT SUNRISE 
CRUST:

6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. sugar
2 c. crushed soda crackers (about 45)
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add cream of tartar, gradually add sugar and beat until stiff. Fold in crushed crackers, then nuts and vanilla. Spread in a well buttered 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.

TOP LAYER:

8 oz. Cool Whip
12 oz. can cherries

Spread Cool Whip over crust. Spoon cherries over Cool Whip. Chill several hours.
