CHEESE CLOUD BREAKFAST CASSEROLE | |
8 slices bread (crusts removed) 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese (grated) 2 lbs. sausage, browned and crumbled 7 eggs 2 3/4 c. milk 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt Cut bread into 1 1/2 inch squares. Place half of bread squares in buttered 13x9 inch casserole. Layer half of cheese on top of bread. Layer half of sausage on top of cheese. Repeat layers of cheese, bread and sausage. Beat eggs with milk, mustard, and salt. Pour mixture over bread, cheese and sausage. Cover and chill overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before serving. |
