CRISP OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 3 c. oatmeal 1/2 c. nuts, chopped 1/2 c. chocolate chips Cream shortening with sugars, add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in oats and nuts with the chocolate chips, mix well. Roll up into 2 inch roll and refrigerate or freeze. When ready to bake, slice and place on cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. |
