FRENCH FRIED ONIONS 
3-4 lg. white onions
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. melted shortening

Slice onions and separate into rings. Put all remaining ingredients in mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Dip onion rings into batter. Drip excess from rings. Drop into hot oil. Fry until golden brown. Very good.
