GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS | |
1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 (18 oz.) German chocolate cake mix 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. butter (melted) 1 c. chopped nuts 1/3 c. evaporated milk Melt together in double boiler (or microwave on 75% power) the caramels and 1/3 cup milk. Mix together cake mix, butter (melted), 1/3 cup milk and nuts. Press 1/2 of dough in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. sprinkle chocolate chips on baked dough. Spread on caramel mixture and put rest of dough on top. Bake 15 to 18 minutes more at 350 degrees. Cool, cut, and refrigerate. |
