PALACE PUDDING 
Jam (variety preferred)
3 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 pt. (600 ml) milk
1 1/2 - 2 c. fresh white bread crumbs
2 dessert spoons sugar
Juice of 1 orange
butter

Spread jam over base of pie dish and dot with little dabs of butter, cover with a thick layer of bread crumbs. Make a custard of 3 eggs, pinch of salt, milk, sweeten and when cool, add the juice of 1 orange. Pour over bread crumbs. Bake in a moderate oven until crust is set. Serve cold.
